About Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
PIERCE THE HEAVENS WITH YOUR DRILL!!! Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is about a young boy named Simon and his adventures to break humanity free of the life underground set by the Spiral King. With his aniki, Kamina and a girl they meet on the surface named Yoko, the three of them quickly gather new friends and the mecha robot called Gurren Lagann, to defeat their enemies.





About Viral Viral is a shark-like Beastman with cat features created by the Spiral King. He first appears in episode 3 of the anime and fights one-on-one with Kamina, only to be defeated in his Gunmen "Enki" with it's helmet stolen by Kamina and Simon in the Gurren Lagann. After their battle, Viral swears to defeat Kamina and get Enki's helmet back- but each of his battles end in failure and Kamina dies before he is able to seek his revenge on him.

When Viral meets with the Spiral King after Adiane's defeat- he reveals to Viral the secrets of the Beastmen he has created. He made Viral immortal, with a body that heals itself, but like all Beastmen who are created through cloning, he lacks Spiral Energy and the ability to reproduce sexually. This inability of having any type of family can be seen as one of Viral's dreams when the Gurren Brigade is captured by the Anti-Spirals.

Viral laster- after the 7 year time jump joins Simon as the pilot of the Gurren even though he lacks the Spiral Power to actually assist Simon in the fight against the Anti-Spiral.
